Some tasks and challenges are to be found in Trieste which, when completed, bestow a small level of both power and renown to a character. These special achievements are known as titles. You can access your collected titles under the Titles tab on your Character Screen. 

You can only select one active title at a time, and your selected title will be visible to other players on the nameplate that floats about your character. Some of the rarer titles are a great way to display your character’s achievements to your fellow players. 

Every title you receive also includes a small but permanent boost to your stats. You don’t need to have the title displayed to receive this boost; you receive all boosts from every title you’ve collected. 

You can click on an unacquired title on the list (unacquired titles are displayed as a row of question marks) and receive a hint about how and where to obtain it. Some titles are displayed for posterity and may no longer be obtainable. 

A couple of the titles are sequential - receiving the next title in the sequence removes the last one. Later titles always have superior stat bonuses, however.
